Though the Lonavala is the place you can explore any time during the year but best period is during October to May i.e starting of winter to starting of summer. Both Lonvala and Khandala hill stations are beautiful and charming hill stations.

Both the places were established as a hill station by Sir Elphinstone in  1871 who was the Governer of Bombay Presidency during that period. Attracts hundreds of tourist during this season. It is the popular hill stationn of Pune District of Maharastra State. It is about 96kms awar from the Mumbai and 64 kms away from the Pune city. Situated at an altitde of 625 mts above sea level both these hill stations are very popular excursion destionation from Mumbai and Pune.

By Road:
You can eighther reach by car or state government bus services from Pune as well as Lonavala.

As it is situated on the mail railway line of  between Mumbai and Pune. There are plenty of train option available for Lonavala hill station. Mostly all the express trains have a stop here.
